Crochet Cushion Covers

I just might have found a new favorite project.  Cushion covers!!!
Tutorial coming soon.  I love how crochet pillows look, but never actually made one for some silly reason.  But now I'm hooked!!

Link Love - Freebie Friday

This week was so fun playing with my sewing machine. When I am sewing, it doesn't sound like I am having much fun.  Or so my hubby says, "There is too much cursing and banging going on to be fun."  This week that was not the case.
I found a few good tutorials for making little ZIPPER POUCHES.  They turned out SO CUTE!!!

While I was on a roll, I made a BOX POUCH for my sons cars.   I did a little extra quilting with his and lined it with felt to give it a little more structure.

Happy Friday!!

Quilt Crazy

Is it really Wednesday already?

I have a couple crochet projects that have been totally sidelined by my current sewing obsession.  All started by my Mother, an amazing quilter, sending me pictures of her current projects. There are lot's of babies on their way into our family this year.
One is mine :)
We have been hunting for the perfect pattern, and fabric.  Yesterday it all came together.  I am sure my Mom is relieved.  I was going a little crazy. haha  Love you Mom!

Anyway, after seeing her projects, I got right into my fabric stash.  I came across this.  My husband's Great Grandmother's unfinished treasure.  My Mother in law gave it to me a while back and it's been hiding.  I instantly knew just what I needed to be working on.  It's so sweet and pretty, and deserves to be completed.  Now that being said, it will be a challenge.  I have never sewn hexagons.  Even though I LOVE them in every way!! And looks like it will have to be done by hand.  Eeck!  Wish me luck and I will keep you posted.

Good Morning

Just a couple shots from the weekend.  I got lucky and found another Frank Moreno bowl at our local swap meet.  I have only seen the black version online, and was SO happy to bring her home with me.

We all were a little under the weather, so I was a little lazy with crochet projects.  But the day is young and we will see what Monday brings.

Looking Back

Taking a look back at some past projects, can you tell I like hexagons?

Finishing up

Finally making some progress today on the last couple rows of my blanket.
Can't wait to see it all done!
